Painting through Holy Week and Easter with Kids

This Holy Week we will be doing a watercolor paint-along video each day. Last year we enjoyed the simple guide to Easter from Brighter Day Press, and this year I was so excited to see Whitney’s new release of watercolor paintings for each day of Holy Week.

The instant download includes eight step-by-step videos which integrate gentle biblical teaching alongside of artistic instruction. Each day’s painting corresponds to the events of that day of Holy Week. Each video is between 6-11 minutes long and comes with optional templates to print or trace on watercolor paper, and also includes coloring pages.

The voice of the instructor, Whitney, is soo soothing. I’m really excited to add this peaceful element to our days this coming week. We’ve been enjoying Brighter Day Press’s watercolor tutorials for a while now, so this was a no-brainer! Whitney has a gift for making impressive-looking paintings so simple that even my easily intimidated/risk averse boy enjoys her videos!

Note- the watercolor videos are in Paint Through the Bible: Holy Week & Easter

The Easter guide that we used last year included more scripture readings, an I AM statement to study each day, a daily hymn, and daily activity/craft/recipe. We will be revisiting her Resurrection Cookies this year for sure! So fun! You can find that here, or read my blog post for more details here.
